What is Collagen and why do I need a collagen drink?

Collagen accounts for 90% of the skin dermis and acts as a pillar that keeps the epidermis, which is the skin roof, from sinking. So healthy frame (collagen) is super important for supple and bouncy skin!

Sad to say this, but as we age, our Collagen decreases continuously at about 1% every year since the 20s! In 40s, Collagen is reduced to half of 20s' OMG yes half is gone! How many skin care products do you used to achieve firm skin? Time to think of approach from inside! Collagen is not option, it is mandatory!

As I grow older, I realised that my bones and joints are not as strong as before. As such, I wanted to find a collagen supplement that can improve both skin and body health, relieve joint pain and prevent bone loss.

Q: What is the difference between liquid collagen and powder collagen?
Powder collagen is less effective as it is processed with heat. Due to the heat-sensitive nature of collagen, its effectiveness and absorption rate decrease when heat is applied. Aura uses liquid collagen peptides extracted from fish scales at a low temperature. It’s easy to drink with a fruity pomegranate flavour - no fishy taste at all!

Q: How should I consume Aura Collagen?
Take 1 bottle daily for those in their 40s and 1 bottle every alternate day for those in their 20s-30s. Drink before bedtime or on an empty stomach, whichever suits your lifestyle. Regular consumption yields the best results!

Q: Is it safe to take Aura Collagen during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Aura collagen is recommended to restore protein intake during pregnancy. Unless there are signs of side effects, it should not be a problem. If going through medical treatment or pregnancy, consult with a doctor to incorporate necessary dietary and nutrition needs.

Q: Is the product safe?
Bonasua’s Aura Original 10,000 is a functional health food certified by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It is produced in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility, and goes through a strictly controlled sterilisation process as the glass bottle packaging allows a 2nd sterilisation.

Q: Does it need to be refrigerated?
No, it is not necessary. However, do avoid storing it in places with direct sunlight. You may put it in the fridge if you prefer.

Q: Is it halal certified?
A: It is not halal certified but is produced in a halal certified production plant.

About Bonasua and Aura Collagen Original 10000

Aura Original 10000 is a low molecule liquid collagen and contains a high amount of amino acids. It is a marine collagen extracted from the scales of Fish and is also an upgraded formula!

We were very impressed with Bonasua's Cold Pressed (hydrolysis) extraction method that is unique to them, allowing them to produce HIGH QUALITY collagen drink.

It is almost impossible to extract pure collagen (which is weak against heat) at a low temperature. But Bonasua did not settle and managed to find a way to do it! Instead of using powdered collagen, Bonasua was able to use 'real' liquid collagen that is extracted at a low temperature and rich in amino acids.

The optimal recipe is created through years of research with the best raw materials and expertise in collagen. With Cold Pressed Extraction method, the purest form of collagen (without impurities and addictives) can be extracted, making the collagen drink highly concentrated and potent with stronger efficacy.

It is important for Collagen to be absorbed rapidly. Liquid form takes only about 1-4 minutes to be broken down, allowing 85%-90% of the nutrients in the liquid supplement to be absorbed while it takes about 20-30 minutes for powder/pills and only 39-53% are absorbed.

Contains 47.02% of GPH (Glycerin, Proline, Hydroxiproline) which is key amino acids involved in collagen synthesis in the body. ⁠

How to consume?

- Use the bottle opener to open the bottle.
- Take one bottle at a time, consume every alternate days (for age 20s-30s) or every day (for age 40s and above).
- Recommended to take in the night before sleep.

1. Tinted glass bottle

- Glass material allows for post sterilisation as fish collagen is sensitive against germs and microorganism. Due to the nature of plastic, it cannot be post sterilised while it is possible to sterlize glass bottle making it safer against germ infection. The tinted material with UV protection properties allow the content in the bottle to remain fresh.

2. Air tight lid

- The double sealing on cap ensures that the liquid collagen(which can be easily spoiled from air exposure) is protected to enjoy the maximum goodness of the collagen drink. That's why you need a bottle opener!
